Benvenuto,
This page and its related content is going to be used to share some of the more artistic and abstract ways in which God likes to speak to me. Whether he speaks in a howling gale or in a fleeting whisper, I want to underscore some of the images, thoughts, and stories that I envision when I think about the Lord. The Lord God Almighty roars as a majestic lion, his voice thunders and shakes the ground. Yet, he is also tender and gentle, more soft than the touch of thinly stretched cotton balls.
How can I give you up, O Ephraim?
Hosea 11:8-10
How can I hand you over, O Israel?
How can I make you like Admah?
How can I treat you like Zeboiim?
My heart recoils within me;
my compassion grows warm and tender.
I will not execute my burning anger;
I will not again destroy Ephraim;
for I am God and not a man,
the Holy One in your midst,
and I will not come in wrath.
They shall go after the Lord;
he will roar like a lion;
when he roars,
his children shall come trembling from the west;
Fun fact: Hosea 11 is probably if not most certainly my favorite chapter in the entire Bible, so go ahead and read all of Hosea if you haven’t already, it’s an amazing book.
I hope that these words here will encourage you.
As the Lord can be both a gale and a whisper, we too can respond accordingly.
I eagerly anticipate the words God allows me to share with y’all in response to his presence in my life. Much love and God bless you all. 🙂
